I am a British artist producing contemporary figurative paintings. My subjects include landscape, portraiture and gardens and since the mid-eighties I have had succesful shows throughout the UK, and more recently in the USA.
My work has been shown at The Royal Academy, The National Portrait Gallery and The Royal Society of Portrait Painters. As a rule, I have two solo shows a year, and my paintings appear in several group exhibitions.
I have paintings in many public and private collections and am often asked to paint to commission, which I fit in whenever I can between exhibitions.

From the very beginning of my career, I have painted portraits both as my own choice of subject and as commissioned. I have put together a new portrait gallery, to show my approach.

I am also a Blues musician, and play live gigs regularly throughout Kent and Sussex. My gig-guide is updated regularly, and lists the gigs and venues arranged for each month.
